Terms of Sale and Use
These terms apply when you use our websites or buy from Athlete Matter Pty Ltd (ABN 26 701 891 698), trading as Athlete Matter and Hoop Matter. Please read them before you order.

1. Your consumer rights come first
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms limits those rights. This includes guarantees that goods are of acceptable quality, match their description and are fit for purpose, and that services and digital content are provided with due care and skill. Where a guarantee is not met, we will provide a repair, replacement or refund as the law requires.
2. What you are buying
The Hoop Matter Ultimate Kit includes:
- physical items: the You Matter Journal, What Matters Values and Strengths Cards, Matter Moments Planner, a Hoop Matter water bottle and a pen
- 12 months of online access to Matter Minis, our video series, starting from the date your kit is dispatched
The program is designed for players aged 10 to 14 with the support of a parent or carer.
3. Prices, postage and offers
The kit is $199, including GST. Postage is a flat $20 per order within Australia.
Mailing list members receive a one-time code for 10% off the kit (postage is not discounted). The code is for your first order, is valid for 30 days from the email that sends it, and can be used once.
Families of our partner academies can use their academy's code for 20% off the kit (postage is not discounted). Academy codes are valid until 31 March 2027.
Guests at our Founding Partners Night receive a code for 20% off the kit (postage is not discounted), valid from 3 December 2026 to 2 January 2027.
Only one code can be used per order. Codes cannot be combined, exchanged for cash or applied to past orders.
We may change prices or offers at any time, but a change will not affect an order you have already paid for.
4. Pre-orders
Pre-orders are paid in full at checkout. We show the expected dispatch date on the product page and in your order confirmation. If we cannot dispatch by that date, we will email you with a new date and you can choose to wait or cancel for a full refund.
5. Matter Minis access
- Access is for your family's personal use. Please do not share your login outside your household.
- Videos are streamed only and cannot be downloaded.
- Access runs for 12 months from dispatch.
- If you cannot access the videos, email [email protected] and we will fix it or offer a remedy under section 1.
6. What the program is, and is not
Hoop Matter is a whole-athlete development program. It builds skills for the game and for life across five pillars: You, Mind, Team, Health and Future. It is general education. It is not medical, psychological or health treatment, and it does not promise selection, results or performance outcomes. If you are worried about a young person's health or wellbeing, please speak to a doctor or qualified health professional. Support contacts are listed on our Child Safety page.
7. Our content
All content, including the journal, cards, planner, videos, logos and designs, is owned by or licensed to Athlete Matter Pty Ltd. You may use it for your family's personal, non-commercial use. Coaches and academies need our written permission to copy, share or present our content to groups.
8. Using our websites and events
When you use our websites, attend a session or visit our stall at an event, you agree to:
- treat players, families, coaches and us with respect
- follow our Code of Conduct for parents, carers and partners (on our Child Safety page)
- not take photos or video of other people's children without their parent's or carer's permission
- not post anything unlawful, abusive or harmful
We will never message a player directly. Any message from us to a player will include a parent, carer or second adult. We may refuse service or end access if someone puts the safety of a child, or of anyone working with us, at risk.
9. Partner academies
Partner academies sign a separate partner agreement. These terms apply to families who buy using a partner code.
10. Our liability
To the extent the law allows, and except for your rights under section 1, we are not responsible for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable, or that was caused by something outside our reasonable control, such as postal delays or platform outages.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
12. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms. The version on this page when you place your order applies to that order. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

Child safety comes first
We work with young people, so we follow the NSW Child Safe Standards. Everyone who works with us is screened, trained and signs our Code of Conduct.
